We are San Rita, an independent creative studio based in Montréal.
We design and build digital experiences that people don’t just use, but move through.
Our work spans brand platforms, e-commerce, and experimental websites. Some projects are expressive and narrative-driven, while others are structured, conversion-focused, and quietly efficient. We’re comfortable in both.
We see every project as a different trail. Some are straight lines, some are steep climbs, some require building the path along the way. We adapt to each context, creatively, technically, and strategically. Whether we lead the vision or integrate into an existing system, we’re equipped for it.
We also collaborate behind the scenes through white-label partnerships, working closely with agencies, studios, and teams who need a strong design and development backbone without expanding internally.

The Journey
San Rita started from a simple intention: to create work that feels considered from end to end.
The studio was founded by a small team of designers and developers who shared a frustration with fragmented processes, where strategy, design, and development happen in silos. We wanted to bring those layers together into a single, coherent flow.
Early days were hands-on, direct, and resourceful. We worked on a mix of client projects and self-initiated experiments, using each opportunity to refine how we think and build. That period shaped our approach: stay flexible, stay curious, and treat constraints as part of the design.
Over time, the studio evolved through a series of defining moments: first recognitions, more ambitious builds, deeper collaborations, and the trust of partners who gave us room to push further. Each project added a layer, not just to our portfolio, but to how we operate.
Today, we still carry that same mindset. We’re not trying to scale into something bigger for the sake of it. We’re focused on staying sharp, adaptable, and intentional in the work we take on.

Showcase
Podium
Podium was built as a global platform designed to showcase high-end projects, collaborations, and cultural initiatives through a clean and immersive digital experience.

The challenge was to create a website capable of presenting a large amount of content while maintaining clarity, rhythm, and emotional impact. Instead of relying on a rigid corporate structure, we approached the platform like a living editorial system, balancing storytelling, navigation, and flexibility.
We focused heavily on pacing, transitions, typography, and visual hierarchy to create a journey that feels fluid without becoming overwhelming. Every interaction was designed to support the content rather than compete with it.
The project reflects an important part of our approach: adapting the experience to the identity of the brand instead of forcing a predefined formula.

Alexis Jay Adrian
For photographer and creative Alexis Jay Adrian, we designed and developed a portfolio experience focused on depth, atmosphere, and storytelling.

The goal was to move away from the limitations of social media and create a space where photography could breathe. Instead of reproducing the logic of an Instagram feed, we built a platform centered around immersion, sequencing, and emotional pacing.
The project was designed and launched in only a few weeks, while still maintaining a highly crafted approach across branding, art direction, development, and content structure. The final result gives Alexis full independence to evolve and manage his work over time.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was balancing speed and ambition. The entire project moved from concept to launch extremely quickly, requiring a highly agile workflow and close collaboration throughout the process.

GZNA + Vinyl Visualizer
GZNA is the North American division of one of the world’s largest vinyl manufacturing ecosystems. The platform needed to serve multiple purposes at once: present the company’s large-scale manufacturing expertise, showcase bespoke packaging possibilities, and provide tools capable of helping artists and labels visualize their records before production.

One of the core pieces of the project was the Vinyl Visualizer, an interactive tool allowing users to explore vinyl colors, materials, and pressing effects in real time. Instead of creating a static catalog, we designed a system that feels tactile and exploratory, helping users experiment directly within the browser.
This project perfectly represents our ability to adapt to more complex ecosystems: combining branding, user experience, technical tooling, product visualization, and large-scale content management into a single coherent platform.

Challenges
The biggest challenge was organizing an enormous amount of technical information without making the experience feel industrial or cold. The platform needed to remain inspiring while also functioning as a practical production tool.

San Rita
Our own website became an opportunity to express how we think about digital experiences as a whole.
Rather than building a traditional agency portfolio, we created a world that reflects our philosophy: exploration, movement, atmosphere, and adaptability. The experience was designed to feel alive without relying solely on spectacle. Every section acts like a different trail, each revealing projects, ideas, and fragments of the studio progressively.

The site also became a creative playground for experimentation, allowing us to test interactions, transitions, layouts, and storytelling systems that later informed client projects.
More than anything, the project represents our belief that digital experiences should carry identity. Not just information.

Background Story
San Rita was built during a period where we were redefining how we wanted to work as a studio. The website naturally became an extension of that reflection, not simply a showcase but a statement of intent.

Culture & Team
Our culture is shaped by how we work together: small team, tight feedback loops, and a shared responsibility for the final output.
There’s no strict separation between roles. Design informs development; development informs design. Ideas move freely, and the best ones win regardless of where they come from. We value clarity over ego, and execution over noise.

What makes us unique is our ability to shift gears. We can be highly conceptual when needed, or deeply pragmatic when the project calls for it. That balance allows us to work across different types of clients and constraints without losing coherence.

We care about the details, not as decoration, but as structure. Rhythm, pacing, hierarchy, interaction, everything plays a role in how a project is experienced.
Outside of work, we stay connected to what inspires us: nature, architecture, music, objects. That influence naturally feeds back into the studio.
If there’s one constant, it’s this: we like building things that feel right.
If you’re looking to collaborate, partner, or build something together, whether it’s visible or behind the scenes, we’re always open to the conversation.
